5 Ways the Unemployed Can Earn Money Online
Unemployed?
Not having a job can be a very depressing thing. You can't support yourself or your family without having a stable income. Luckily there are various ways on the internet you can earn yourself some income. Don't expect to make enough to cover expenses, but it can help until you find another job. Being unemployed isn't a reason to be lazy. It's a reason to try hard to find the means to support your family. You never know, you could find a hidden talent that you can turn into a full time career!
The 5 Ways
- Writing. There are many websites out there that offer you money for writing. This could be writing for websites, comments on blogs, reviews, advertisements, and more. This shouldn't be confused with writing blogs or something else to earn advertising dollars. That is a slow process, and you have to get lucky with that. If you are unemployed you need the money almost right away. Writing for websites such as Textbroker can bring in money immediately. I found myself earning a couple hundred dollars a month just doing a few hours of work per week. If you don't have a job, a good 20-30 hours a month can help pay for your bills. Just ensure you take effort in what you write. More than likely your name can get attached to your writing. If you write something poor or factually incorrect, you could find future writing opportunities dry up. If you want a long term project, writing e-books and publishing them on Amazon for the Kindle Singles can be a good option as well. But you could earn money slowly. So be warned.
- Drawing. This may be much tricker to pull off. Drawing art can be harder than writing an article. But if you have the talent this could pay off much more. Places like Deviantart allow you to upload your art and sell prints. There are art programs cheaply available, even for free, such as Gimp. You just have to take the time to learn them. But if you find yourself as a natural artist, then you won't have any issues at all. You need to really expand yourself to get your art known though. Start a blog, consult online resources on where to go, etc. It can take a lot of work. Unfortunately with how long people have been unemployed, you could find yourself with the time.
- eBay. This one seems obvious. eBay has been around forever. So how can you get in on that action? Well there are one of two ways. The first is hitting yard sales, estate sales, and other used item sales. Pick up some good items and re-list them on eBay. You may lose money at first, but once you figure out what sells you can make a load of money. Collectables are very popular to sell. Someone may love a figurine that you bought for a buck. Or you could find a rare vase that sells for hundreds of dollars. The second way is to buy items off of eBay and sell at yard sales or swap meets. Sellers consistently have bulk items for purchase just to get rid of inventory. This may take awhile to earn money, but there is definitely profit to be had.
- Teaching. A lot of people laid off were experts in their chosen profession. Teaching and tutoring online is a great way to make money. The internet has made chatting and instructing very simple. Especially for those currently in college will look anywhere to find the help they need in whatever classes they are taking. Plus this is a great tool to learn for yourself, as you will have experience in training and teaching others. This isn't as much fun as the previous few points, but with the free time that the unemployed have, you may not have much of a choice.
- Selling your stuff. Whoa, are you desperate enough to sell your stuff already? No, that's not what I am talking about. Now a days you can make your own things and try selling them online. People have done so before and turned themselves from being dirt poor to having enough money for the rest of their lives. Again this is something that requires some natural talent to do. But if you ever had an idea for something, explore it! With all that free time it could be the best opportunity to explore that idea.
